Now that it is summer, my kids want to wear flip flops all of the time. I don't think that is good, as they need more support of their feet and ankles. Is there any information out there that supports this? I would like to have my kids wear regular shoes when they are not at the pool.
That is a great observation, and you are correct. While flip flops are easy to take on and off while you are at the pool, they are not meant for walking significant distances. Wearing flip flops can cause heal and ankle pain, and
Teenagers and Depression
by Jessica B. June 14th, 2012 | Mental Health
Teens these days are under endless pressure, academically and socially. The biggest difference from when I was young is the Internet. With 24 hour access to friends, a social network, and the ability for things to spiral out of control on a global level, teenagers can have a difficult time figuring out their own identity.
Teenage suicide is one of the leading causes of death among teens, often ranking third or fourth depending on age. This is a sign that teen depression needs to be taken seriously and not just dismissed as drama, an attitude, or even a bout of

There is some good news, though. A man can do several things to prevent the onset of this disease, including keeping the mind active and eating a balanced

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
by Dean Heller MD June 8th, 2012 | Ask the Doctor
